- SynopsisSynopsis Notice of Intent to Sole Source The 14th Contracting Squadron, 495 Harpe Blvd, Suite 256C, Columbus AFB, MS 39740 intends to solicit and award a fixed price requirements, sole source contract to Northrop Grumman System Corporation (NGSC), dba Denro Systems. The purpose of the order is to provide repairs for 3 parts: 1. Position Integrated Project Module (PIP), p/n: 110997-007, 5 EA 2. TEDs, p/n: 259253-002, 2 EA 3. 2 Wire PBX, p/n: 325928-019, 2 EA This purchase is for a commercial item/service and will be made using FAR 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures at FAR 13.5. Other than full and open competition is authorized pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). Past history of SDVS repairs has demonstrated that this work is a sole source requirement. This sole source requirement is supported by previous sole source contracts for SDVS with NGSC. To further solidify the government's position of being a sole source requirement a Sources Sought was posed to FBO on 17 Oct 14. No other firms expressed an interest in repairs of SDVS parts. However, one other firm desired interest in performing SDVS support by replacing all existing SDVS with a new system. The Government did not find this feasible as there would be substantial costs associated with the replacement of all SDVS' and possibly incur unacceptable delays in the fulfillment of the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested contractors may submit a narrative describing their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort via e-mail to Contract Specialist, TSgt Micael Jiggetts, micael.jiggetts@us.af.mil and Contracting Officer, Robert Gable, robert.gable.3@us.af.mil no later than 2:00 PM CST 13 Febuary 2015. Capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent to Sole Source.
