Description
DE-SOL-0006380 - ENERGY INDUSTRY DAY - PERFORMANCE CONTRACTING, BEING HELD AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES This FEDBIZOPS notice, regarding DE-SOL-0006380, has been updated to include date, location and time information for a series of five Energy Industry Day - Performance Contract events taking place in February, March, and April 2015 across the U.S. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), intends to host a series of Energy Industry Day events to facilitate discussions of partnering opportunities between small businesses and Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) on current and possible future requirements. These Industry Day events are not mandatory, and non-attendance will not preclude vendors from responding to any future Request for Proposals that the Government may issue. The Government will not reimburse attendees for any costs associated with attendance or participation at the Industry Day events and no procurement or source selection sensitive materials will be disseminated at the events. The DOE, through the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP), has an ongoing requirement for multiple Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) to design, install, implement, maintain, repair, and provide financing for the development of energy, water, and renewable energy conservation measures at federally owned facilities across the nation. As part of these projects, the ESCO is responsible for conducting a comprehensive energy audit and identifying improvements that would save energy and/or reduce utility bills at each facility. In exchange, the ESCO receives a share of energy savings that directly result from the implementation of such measures. The series of Industry Days will provide DOE with an opportunity to present an overview of energy savings goals to industry, specifically the building trades. It is anticipated that opportunities will exist for building trades to participate alongside the ESCO when projects come into fruition. Targeted North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes include but are not limited to: 221320 Sewer systems 237130 Transformer station and substation, electric power, construction 237130 Electric light and power plant (except hydroelectric) construction 238210 Electrical Contractors 238210 Environmental Controls Installation Contractors 238210 Electrical equipment and appliance installation 238310 Building insulation contractors 333415 Air-Conditioning and Warm Air Heating Equipment and Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing 334413 Semi-conductor and Related Device Manufacturing 334512 Automatic Environmental Control Manufacturing for Residential, Commercial, and Appliance Use 335100 Electric Lighting Equipment Manufacturing 335312 Motor and Generator Manufacturing 335999 All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing 541380 Thermal testing laboratories or services 561990 Electrical meter reading services, contract 924110 Waste management program administration These Industry Days are structured as a free resource to provide ESCOs and small business the opportunity to meet and confer regarding possible opportunities. The anticipation is that ESCOs? subcontracting plans will be more readily met through early engagement with a pool of capable business partners in advance of any defined requirements. These events are also intended to foster communication and promote opportunities for networking and future subcontracting between interested industry parties and the ESCOs. No procurement or source selection sensitive materials will be disseminated by the Government at these events. No information shared by attendees shall be considered source selection sensitive materials. The Energy Industry Day events are part of ongoing Government Market Research for planning purposes only.
