- VAFB Standard Requirement for Substation Power Transformer Statement of Work Transformer D1 The 30th Contracting Squadron is publicizing this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to gather industry information with respect to Replace Transformer, at Vandenberg AFB, CA. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB), and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result. The Air Force will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. Any future solicitation, including specifications and/or drawings, will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov/). Interested Parties are solely responsible for monitoring the aforementioned website for the release of a solicitation package and/or any updates and/or amendments. The government is seeking to identify qualified, experienced, and interested small businesses capable of performing the type of work as described herein in order to help determine which small business set-aside to use. The following North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applies to this request of information 237130(Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction). The size standard for this NAICS code is $36,500,000.00. This intended project is to replace Transformer D1 with a new stainless steel 12.5 MVA transformer with Renhausen RMVII load tap charger and nitrogen blanket system. Specifications for the new transformer D1 shall match the existing 12.5 MVA Transformer in use on Vandenberg AFB. The new 12.5 MVA Transformer D1 will require a desgin to provide the correct protective device setting, correctly sized 12kV load cables and testing. See the attached Draft Statement of Work for more details. The estimated magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The proposed contract would be a firm-fixed-priced contract. All interested parties are invited to respond and must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (http://www.sam.gov/). The information requested will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency.
