- ****ATTENTION****ALL FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION MUST BE DIRECTED TO: Terry Carter, Contracting Officer, email: teryr.carter5.civ@mail.mil. No telephone calls will be accepted. PRON: AX5BZ004AX; NOUN: Adapter, Test; NSN: 6625-01-618-1627; P/N: 7-562181100-603; Min/Max qty of 5/15 each on a 3 year Basic + 2 option type contract with deliveries to Tracy, CA. Required delivery is 5 each 150 Days After Contract Award (DACA) and 5 each year until contract completion. This requirement is restricted to Boeing Company (CAGE: 8V613). This is a Critical Safety Item (CSI). The Government does not have adequate data, lacks rights to data, or both needed to purchase this part from additional sources. The Government has been unable to economically buy the data or rights to the data, although the part has been undergoing full screening for 12 or more months. Breakout to competition has not been achieved, but current, continuing actions to obtain necessary rights to data or adequate, reprocurement technical data indicate breakout to competition is expected to be achieved. Only source(s) indicated has access to the technical data to manufacture this part. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. All prospective manufacturers, or distributors, seeking to compete for a solicitation for Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command (AMCOM) Spares, for any restricted source parts, are required to be an AMCOM approved source. To obtain approval, vendors must submit a SAR package, for review and approval, to the Engineering Directorate (ED), Quality Engineering Division. Source approval must be obtained prior to being considered for contract award. Approvals are made on an individual part number basis for a specific manufacturing location (CAGE). Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by following the SAR submission guidance provided on the website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casldba.casl_cmo_samsar. Questions concerning SAR submissions can be directed to the ED SAR Team at EDSAR@amrdec.army.mil or call the SAR Team at 256-313-8978, 256-313-0341 or 256-313-8994. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation however; solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies.
