- MICC - Fort Belvoir Sources Sought Synopsis: This RFI is for market research purposes only. Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Respondents shall not submit any proprietary information when responding to this RFI. Respondents shall also note that the Government will not return any information submitted in response to this RFI. The Government is not responsible for any costs incurred by respondents regarding any responses to this RFI. Respondents shall submit capability statements that clearly define the company's ability to provide the supplies stated in this RFI. This requirement is up to 300 medium/400 large/and 300 extra large Trooper Caps for military personnel performing ceremonial burial honors for veterans. The Trooper Caps must achieve the greatest possible economic value, cost effective and delivery capabilities that are responsive to the needs of The Old Guard Ceremonial team. The Trooper Caps must conform to the following specifications: DESCRIPTION - Cap, trooper, fur cold weather has a black synthetic fur visor and side flaps. Snap fasteners are attached to hold the visor and side in the up position or downward badge eyelets in the front center flap to center and attach headgear insignia. The Trooper Cap is to be worn with a blue overcoat and with the dress blue uniform and therefore needs to be blue in color. Pile lined flaps secure up over the crown or down to protect ears with adjustable strap. FABRIC: Antron nylon (high strength) crown with black fur, rugged nylon/rayon outer shell fabric with thermolite soft insulated quitted lining or similar. THIS RFI IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool (FAR Part 10) being used to determine potential large and small business firms capable of providing the supply and/or services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition for Trooper Caps. The NAICS contemplated for this requirement is 315210 with a size standard of 500 employees. SUBMITTAL INFORMATION: Please provide a capability statement addressing your company's ability to provide the services required above. Include only general capabilities relative to the requirement as this is not a solicitation and no responses will be considered as proposals.
