Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC)-New Jersey located at Fort Dix, NJ 08640, on behalf of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) 6.8 Corporate Business Office (CBO) and PMA-290 P-8A Poseidon Multi-mission Maritime Aircraft (MMA) intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with The Boeing Company, DBA Boeing Div Defense, Space & Security, 7755E Marginal Way, Seattle, WA 98101-4002 necessary for the establishment of an organic Depot-level maintenance repair capability for the following Weapon Replaceable Assemblies (WRA's) currently used in the Ice and Rain Protection System on the P-8A: DE-ICING LEADING EDGE ASSY - Part Number 218A3619-1 DE-ICING LEADING EDGE ASSY - Part Number 218A3619-2 CTAI, AFT - Part Number 332A2390-12 Duct Assy PRECOOLER INT - Part Number 332A2390-45 CTAI - Part Number 332A2390-48 This effort will support the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) located in Jacksonville, FL. The scope of the requirements covered under this effort include the acquisition of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) equipment, and data to accomplish Government depot repair at FRCSE Jacksonville, FL. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Boeing because this firm is considered the only responsible source capable to perform this effort. The Government does not own technical data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a capabilities statement in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
