- MICC - Fort Belvoir Sources Sought Synopsis: This RFI is for market research purposes only. Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Respondents shall not submit any proprietary information when responding to this RFI. Respondents shall also note that the Government will not return any information submitted in response to this RFI. The Government is not responsible for any costs incurred by respondents regarding any responses to this RFI. Respondents shall submit capability statements that clearly define the company's ability to provide the supplies stated in this RFI. This requirement is for up to 750 Enlisted Ceremonial Belts, up to 175 Officer Ceremonial Belts and up to 200 Promeric Belts, for military personnel performing ceremonial burial honors for veterans. Belts must achieve the greatest possible economic value, cost effective and delivery capabilities that are responsive to the needs of The Old Guard Ceremonial team. The belts must conform to the following specifications: Enlisted Ceremonial Belt will be constructed with leather backing. Fronting will be of the enlisted Dress Blue cloth. Keepers will be of Dress Blue cloth and inch gold braid. Belt will be of universal size (adjustable). Buckle shall consist of a catch plate and a buckle with embossed insignia superposed and secure by means of two screws and round nuts. Buckle shall have a detailed eagle mounted on brass background with a smooth mirror finish. The dimensions of the buckle shall be 2 quote mark by 2 quote mark high without nickel undercoating. Officer Ceremonial Belt will be constructed with leather backing. Fronting will have 4 each 5/16 inch wide gold bullion runners and 3/16 inch blue nylon runners. Keepers will be of gold bullions with leather backing inch width. Overall width of belt is 1 inches wide. The buckle will be constructed of brass 3 inches by 2 inches and will be the standard U.S. Army Coat of Arms raised metal. Belt will be of universal size (adjustable). Promeric Belt will be constructed of 1/8 inch thick leather with a high gloss (promeric) finish. Belt will be 1 inches wide of specific length. To be stitched with black thread 1/8 inch from top and bottom edges. Belt needs to have a removable solid brass buckle, 2 inches by 2 inches. Buckle will be brass plated clasp. Belt to have five adjustment holes, and a inch black leather keeper. Lengths should range to cover waist sizes 26 to 44. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The contractor must provide a sample of product prior to contract award for approval, regardless if contractor has been used before or not. For RFI purposes, pictures and specifications of the belts may be attached to any company documentation listed below sent to the below listed point of contact. THIS RFI IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool (FAR Part 10) being used to determine potential large and small business firms capable of providing the supply and/or services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition for belts; Enlisted, Officer, and Promeric. The NAICS contemplated for this requirement is 315990 with a size standard of 500 employees. Include only general capabilities relative to the requirement as this is not a solicitation and no responses will be considered as proposals.
