Description
Technical Information Questionnaire (TIQ) This is a United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Request for Information (RFI) concerning Non-Standard Commercial Vehicles (NSCVs) such as, but not limited to, dual cab pickups, sport utility vehicles, vans, and sedans. Vehicle models may consist, but not limited to, Toyota Hilux, Land Cruiser (76/78/79/200 series), Corolla, Camry, and Hiace, and Mitsubishi L200 and Lancer. The purpose of this RFI is to determine the suitability and maturity of NSCV market place. Please respond to all questions in the attached Technical Information Questionnaire (TIQ). Responses should identify requirements that are considered major cost and/or schedule drivers in meeting a potential NSCV requirement. POTENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VEHICLES Vehicles will be the latest model vehicles typically found in central Asia (other e.g. not listed above, Toyota Prado, Mitsubishi Pajero, and Land Rover Defender); armored against ballistic threats; 4x4 wheel drive with heavy duty brakes and suspension to accommodate increased curb weight; full skid plates and running boards; diesel and gas engines; left hand drive; right hand drive; additional modifications will also be included in the Request for Proposal (RFP); delivery of all vehicle types is estimated to be within 90-120 days after award or issuance of a delivery order. Further detailed information on ballistic threats is not available at this time. Interested vendors shall have the capability to import/export all vehicles. TIQ responses shall be submitted no later than 18 Feb 2015. Responses received after this date may not be reviewed. TIQ responses shall be submitted to Ms. Indira Phillips at indira.phillips@socom.mil, Ms. Michelle Cames at michelle.cames@socom.mil, and Mr. Logan Kittinger at logan.kittinger@socom.mil. This request for information does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. This notice shall not be construed as a RFP or as an obligation on the part of the Government. No entitlement to payment will arise as a result of the submission of contractor information. No other program information related to total dollars available, total quantity of vehicles authorized, or timeline for official solicitation is available at this time. USSOCOM will post that information in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to FEDBIZOPS after finalization of the acquisition documents.
