- Description
- The US Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, intends to award a sole source contract to Minact, Inc, 5220 Keele Street, Jackson, MS 39206. The statutory authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 3304 (a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement to avoid disruption. Job Corps is a national training program that provides comprehensive academic, residential, and career technical and training services to approximately 60,000 disadvantage youth each year at 125 Job Corps centers nationwide. This requirement is for the operation of the Shreveport Job Corps Center located in Shreveport, Louisiana. The anticipated period of performance is a 12 month base, plus two options of six months each. The requirement includes the provision of academics, career technical, career success skills, and career development training and related support services for an estimated 285 students. This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposal. Therefore, no solicitation documents exist for this requirement. However, all responsible parties interested in responding to this notice are invited to submit a capability statement including costs by 5:00pm CST by February 20, 2015 that provides sufficient details for consideration by the Government, via e-mail transmittal to JC.Lockbox@dol.gov. The reference "DOLETA-15-R-00038, Shreveport JCC" must be shown on the subject line. The determination not to compete the contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All questions or comments regarding this notice shall be addressed in writing to Mary Lindsey, Contract Specialist at JC.Lockbox@dol.gov.
