- ZETEC PROBES This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. Electronic submission of quotes is available through the NECO website. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Puget Sound, in support of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF) intends to solicit and negotiate with ZETEC INC, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for SIX (6) PROBES PN BJF-004, EIGHT (8) PROBE PN 10047855, and for SIX (6) PROBES PN 10042768 will be included in the solicitation, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 6.302 Circumstances permitting other than full and open competition, FAR 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition. This procurement will result in a firm-fixed-priced (FFP) contract. This notice is a pre-solicitation synopsis, in accordance with FAR 5.201, to inform interested parties of the Government ™s intent to sole source to ZETEC INC however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The Government will consider all responses received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This requirement is being issued as a synopsis for commercial items in accordance with FAR 5.203, and the Contracting Officer has established a shorter synopsis period for issuance of this solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis. The solicitation number for this requirement will be issued as a request for quote (RFQ) SPMYM2-15-Q-0193 utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation factors will be available on DATE FEBRUARY 11, 2015. Offers shall provide FOB destination pricing to PSNS Bremerton, WA.
