- CLOTH; TWILL WEAVE 65% POLYESTER/ 35% COTTON Sources Sought: The U.S. Army Natick Soldier RDEC has a need to identify sources for polyester/cotton cloth for potential use in the Food Service Uniform (FSU) smock and trousers. NO SOLICITATION CURRENTLY EXISTS. The cloth must be produced in the U.S of U.S made fibers. The cloth shall be 7.1 ( 0.3) oz. per square yard and shall have the capability for stain resistance and soil release. These properties shall last for a minimum of 30 launderings. Companies interested in having their cloth evaluated for possible use must submit 3 yards of white and 3 yards of black cloth, information paper (specification sheet), to include such things as style name/number, place of manufacture, location of source of fibers, blend of fibers, pricing information (cost per yard), and any other information that the company feels appropriate. Prior to submission the cloth shall be tested at an ISO certified testing lab in accordance with the attached test methods. The test data shall be submitted with the other supporting documentation. The cloth and information paper must be submitted no later than 30 March 2015 to Ms. Beverly Kimball, US Army Natick Research Development & Engineering Center, ATTN: RDNS-SEW-EWC, Bldg 4, Room D-226, 15 Kansas Street, Natick, MA 01760-5019.
