****Request for information only**** FBO ID# VA243-15-N-0455 Response date (Deadline): FEBRUARY 13, 2014 Sources Sought: ORTHOPEDIC BONE CEMENT for VISN3 This request for information (RFI) is posted for market research purposes ONLY. It is not a solicitation. Statement of need: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) NY/NJ Veterans Healthcare Network VISN 3 has an ongoing responsibility to provide orthopedic bone cement in order to support the medical centers which perform orthopedic surgical procedures for those Veterans who are eligible for VA health care services and have medical needs for these procedures. Product or service description: The Contractor shall provide orthopedic bone cement, both non-impregnated and antibiotic impregnated cement in single unit packages for the medical centers performing orthopedic procedures within VISN 3. The cement should be available for direct purchase and for consignment procurement. Contract Vehicle: It is VA's intention to solicit proposals and award a contract on a competitive basis under the authority of Title 38 U.S.C. Section 8123 (Procurement of Prosthetic Appliances) for orthopedic bone cement. This acquisition will supplement VA in providing comprehensive care and support to the veterans in need.
