Description
The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis in accordance with (IAW) FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) with General Electric Company dba GE, 3000 N. Grandview Blvd Waukesha, WI 53188-1615, as the only responsible source that can provide is capable of providing OEM repair parts of one (1) GE INNOVA 4100 Angiography unit DL Computer Processing Unit (CPU). Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-78 are incorporated. The U.S. Navy has repair and replacement parts of one (1) GE INNOVA 4100 Angiography unit Digital Logic (DL) Computer Processing Unit (CPU). This requirement is to provide one-time repair and replacement parts of one of (1) GE INNOVA 4100 Angiography unit DL Computer Processing Unit (CPU). Repair shall include complete, installation inspection, calibration, testing, scheduled parts replacements to include replacement of UPS, utilizing OEM repair parts and OEM certified technicians. Items being purchased in this acquisition: Repair and replacement parts of one (1) Digital Logic Computer required for GE INNOVA 4100 Angiography unit Computer Processing Unit on board USNS COMFORT (TAH-20). This contract is estimated at $32,683.56. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System 811219 with a Small Business Size Standard of $20.5M dollars. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based on the above information, the only technically acceptable contractor for providing repair parts and service of one (1) Digital Logic (DL) Computer Processing Unit (CPU) is General Electric Company. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS word or Adobe PDF attachment to Rebecca.Wisner@med.navy.mil. Statements are due no later than 1:00 PM local time on 24 February 2015.
