Description
****THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY**** Notification of Sole Source Procurement. In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i) the Government intends to limit sources to DYWIDAG Systems International (DSI) to provide the hardware and services to support fabrication and technology demonstration for repair and retrofit of trunnion anchors. The installation will occur at the existing ERDC test bed facility in Vicksburg, MS. DSI will install the three anchor rods in the existing test bed at the ERCD facility. The installation method will consist of de-tensioning and removal of the three existing rods, removal of the NO-OX-ID corrosion system from the rod ducts and installation of the new rods with the alternative corrosion protection system. The existing test bed is comprised of a reinforced concrete mock up of a tainter gate pier resting on its side, the existing DYWIDAG hardware was previously installed into the test pier in 2012. DSI is the only source for the DYWIDAG anchor rods. They have developed a method for replacement of their DYWIDAG bars with a new DYWIDAG bar along with replacement of the corrosion protection protocol. DSI is the only source that can provide the anchor rods and the installation protocol in order to continue the research on this replacement method. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements must be submitted no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Time on 25 February 2015 to Christina.m.burchett@usace.army.mil. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
