Description

The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Zoll Medical Corporation for ten (10) pacing software upgrades for ten (10) currently owned X-Series Defibrillators for the Edward Hines VAMC in Hines, IL. This software will be fully compatible with the Zoll Medical X-Series defibrillators and allow health care providers using the currently owned defibrillators to better regulate a patient's heart and deliver oxygen through arteries and internal organs. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services to the Contracting Officer by 2:00PM (CST) January 9, 2015. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent electronically to the Contracting Officer using the email address Daniel.rasmussen@va.gov. Responses received before the deadline will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Zoll Medical Corporation.
