- Notice Type: Special Notice Original Set Aside: N/A Set Aside: N/A Classification Code: J066 - Maintenance/Repair of Instruments and Lab Equipment NAICS Code: 811219 Synopsis: Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, GA intends to award a sole-source contract to Agilent Technologies for the following services: The Defense Forensic Science Center has a mission essential requirement for the procurement of the annual service and maintenance for Agilent GCMS-5975 and GCMS-5973 laboratory instruments. This is maintenance for materials science hardware and software applications supporting the Forensic Expeditionary Division's Post-Blast Analytical Exploitation Laboratory Suite (PBAELS). These systems are used within the FXD Forensic Chemistry section in for the analysis of forensically significant samples from post blast scenes, paint and other particles of interest to the FXD's mission. This acquisition is for forensic instrument and software maintenance not available through Army CHESS or DoD ESI contracts. Agilent Technologies will be awarded this requirement. Period of Performance shall consist of one (1) base year and two option years. The NAICS code is 811219. The authority for this non-competitive award is 10 USC 2304(c) (1), only one responsible source. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government and you may be considered for the next requirement. If no affirmative written responses are received by 2:00pm, Thursday 12 February 2015, an award will be made without further notice. Emails may be sent to Patricia A. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government.
