Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This specification is for the manufacture and supply of a slab type magnesium alloy with integral mounting straps, suitable for direct bolting to flat surfaces, stock number 0003. The size of the slab anodes are approximately 9 quote mark W x 18 quote mark L x 2 quote mark T with two each 2 quote mark W x 4 quote mark L x quote mark T mounting straps protruding from each long side of the anode. Each anode shall be coated with a 3/32 quote mark thick (minimum) plastic coating. The anode shall be totally encased except for the front opening of 5 quote mark x 14 quote mark and the mounting straps. Each slab anode weighs approximately 24 lbs. (not including the plastic coating).
