Description

MARKET RESEARCH/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of small and large business capable of providing by either purchase or lease a double hulled OPA 90 compliant non-self-propelled fuel barge which meets the following Requirements: 1. Maximum dimensions; a. Length: 106ft b. Beam: 26ft c. Draft: max navigational 6ft 2. Minimum fuel capacity of 50,000 gallons 3. The barge must be capable of delivering the fuel (as bunkers) and have a pumping system capable of meeting the fueling requirements. Again, the Navy is seeking to either enter into a long term lease agreement or potentially acquire the barge. Interested firms are requested to submit a capability statement outlining their ability to meet or exceed this potential requirement no later than 2:00 pm (Pacific Standard Time), 1 August 2010, stating their business size, as well as a point of contact. The Government will use the results of this announcement to determine whether the acquisition of the above-described requirement should be solicited as a small business set-aside, or whether full and open competitive procedures should be utilized. The Government will not pay or provide reimbursement for any costs incurred in the preparation or delivery of the request for information.
