- EP CATH LAB UPGRADE PROJECT NUMBER 642-CSI-114 The Philadelphia VA Medical Center is seeking a qualified Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business Architect and Engineering firm. The A/E firms shall provide an investigate survey and verification of as build conditions required for fully developed construction documents for the renovation of the Cath lab located on the 8th floor of Building #2 (approximately 1,000 square feet) This is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a notice to obtain possible sources that have the capacity and capability of providing the architect and engineering design services as described in this notice. The scope of this project is to renovate the rooms on the 8th floor of Building #2 in order to replace the existing medical equipment. Renovations shall included modifications to the rooms, upgrade HVAC, electrical and structural upgrades as needed. A/E Firm will evaluate the existing HVAC system servicing all areas within the construction limits including the replacement of duct systems, terminal boxes, and associated automatic temperature controls. The survey of existing conditions is to include all areas above, below and adjacent to the work sites that will be affected by the construction project. Investigations shall include existing building, structure, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems and any system modification necessary to maintain adjacent facilities. Existing building systems shall remain operable at all times during construction. Construction estimates of contract time and cost will be required at each project submission. The selected A/E firm will be required to collaborate with the Department of Veterans Affairs staff to determine structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical design requirements. The firm will also attend programming meetings with Medical Center research staff to layout subject floor. Drawings concerning the existing condition will be provided to the selected A/E firm. The selected A/E firm will also be responsible for providing a cost estimate for the construction costs associated with their final drawings and findings. The North American industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541310 and the small business size standard is $4.5.million. The request for SF 330 packages will be available approximately on or about April 4, 2015 and should be downloaded from this website at that time. THIS PROJECT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SDVOSB.
