- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The government would like to hold a site visit so all competing vendors have a chance to see exactly what the upgrade entails. The site visit will be at Building 606 Thayer Road, West Point, NY on Tuesday (2/24/2015) at 1000. This site visit is not mandatory but it is highly recommended. The primary purpose of this upgrade is to add three-way High Definition (HD) Video TeleConference (VTC) capability: commercial VTC on a dedicated computer that is also capable of conferencing through the existing USMA VTC conference bridge infrastructure. The VTC will have an HD (digital) camera. Given the distance between the camera and the equipment rack, a camera cable extension solution for video and control is required. Commercial WiFi installed to provide visitors with web capability. DAD Backdrop (hideable/retracting) behind presenter's area. Rewire existing network switches under tables to conform to the new VTC addition. Additional Extron AV trac. Cabling to secure existing projectors. Mobile Crestron control panel. If technically possible, provide capability for two Laptops on the table to project to these existing projectors simultaneously. The camera and all microphones must be directly available to all VTC/ATC systems. Environmental vibration mitigated for both existing projectors. The upgraded system should support wireless devices, including IPADs, IPhones, androids, and other similar devices for presentations and for sharing content during VTCs. The upgraded system should include an automated camera backdrop system that includes the USMA logo to present the highest quality and highest impact video impression. We would like an additional control to be added with an IPAD and docking station recharger that can be used without removing the protective sleeve.
