Description

Improvements to the Little Tujunga Barracks renovation includes but is not limited to: addition of fire sprinklers and fire alarm system; addition of emergency egress windows at existing designated sleeping rooms; seismic improvements; accessibility upgrades including a new disabled access ramp from the parking area and new ramps within the existing building to provide equal access to sleeping and bathing facilities for the disabled; upgrade doors and door hardware to meet accessibly requirements; conversion of existing sleeping room into a unisex accessible restroom and shower room; conversion of an existing sleeping room into a new laundry room; conversion of an existing mechanical room into a dedicated communication room; replacement of all mechanical systems with the new energy efficient systems; addition of new plumbing system; upgrade existing electrical systems and lighting fixtures; addition and relocation of data system; replacement of existing interior finishes; replacement of existing non "fire safe" exterior siding with new "fire safe" siding and trim; upgrade attic ventilation system; replacement of existing insulation as necessary; replacement of existing low slope, built-up roofing with new roofing material; removal of existing gutters and replace or add new gutters and downspouts, paint existing rafters. Location is within the boundaries of the Los Angeles River Ranger District, Angeles National Forest.
