Description
DO NOT CONTACT POSTER M.RODRIGUEZ-GIST PLEASE CONTACT FOR INFORMATION: Mark Conrad (443-395-7013, mark.g.conrad.civ@mail.mil). US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) is seeking sources able to provide quantity two (2) Tac-Eye display systems or equivalent, for a Foreign Military Sales case. The salient characteristics that would qualify as equivalent to a Six15 Technologies Tac-Eye Lt 2.0 are as follows: Function: Head worn and hand free display system for non-standard environments, to replace a direct-view display. MIL-STD 810F qualified for shock, vibration, water, dust, drop, and temperature (operation -31 deg. C to +49 deg. C). High-contrast SVGA display to show images from computers, IR imagers, camera systems, thermal weapons sights, or any other video source. At lest 800 x 600 pixels, full color. Weight (head-borne component) less than 75 grams Display inputs to include VGA, NTSC, RS-170. No light signature from user. Can be mounted to the left or right eye. Can be fitted with helmet mount. Can be fitted with eyeglass clip. Night vision filter. The proposed source is Six15 Technologies, formerly Vuzix TDG, Henrietta, NY. Six15 is the original developer and the only known source that produces the Tac-Eye, which is a Non-Developmental Item (NDI), and possesses the level III technical data package for the Tac-Eye. The Government does not possess level III technical data package (TDP) for the Tac-Eye or its accessories.
