- This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a request for information only. The purpose of this sourcessought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned Small Business, 8(a), Hubzone, Small, Small Disadvantaged, Woman Owned Small Business and Large Business) relative to NAICS code 325412 (size standard of 750 Employees). Responses to this request for information synopsis will be used by the government to make appropriate Acquisition decisions. Responses to this sources sought shall NEITHER constitute responses to a solicitation which is not currently available NOR a request to be added to a prospective bidders list to receive a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely the Government's discretion. The Birmingham VA Medical Center is seeking information for a potential company to provide all labor, compounding, supervision and transportation for daily deliveries of radiopharmaceutical doses to the Medical Center, Nuclear Medicine Service as requested/ordered by Nuclear Medicine physicians/personnel. Usage is estimated. The Radiopharmaceuticals are listed as: Generic and/or Cardiolite/Sestamibi dose(s) in syringes precalibrated: Unit doses of Generic Cardiolite and/or Sestamibi, thirty (30) to thirty-five (35) millicuries per syringe, precalibrated as requested prior to delivery. 18F- Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) and standards: Unit doses of 18F- Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) and standards, doses to be delivered in syringes, eight (8) to twenty (20) millicuries, plus a one-millicurie vial for use in calibration or calibrated as requested. 18F-Sodium Fluoride (18F-NaF): Radiopharmaceutical doses of 18F Sodium Fluoride (18F-NaF) calibrated as requested in syringes (ranging from (1) one to (20) twenty millicuries. Deliveries shall be made between the hours of 7:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday (excluding Federal holidays). Sources interested in this notice shall submit the following: 1. Company name, address, point of contact, email address and DUNS. 2. Brief introduction to your company and capability to provide the needed product and service. 3. Proof or documentation of NRC Licensure 4. Business size 5. If a Small Business: Indicate your SBA Size Classification This is not a request for proposals or request for quotes and in no way obligates the government to award any contract. Responses to this notice shall be in writing by e-mail addressed to Katina.dickerson-hale@va.gov. All responses must be received in writing no later than 11:00 AM. Local time on February 27, 2015. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Firms responding to this announcement, which fail to provide all of the required information, cannot be used to help the government make the acquisition decisions, which is the intent of this synopsis. This notice is to help the VA Medical Center in determining potential sources only. No solicitation is currently available. All firms responding to this request for information notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award.
