- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Fort Lee, Virginia anticipates issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a single award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ( type contract for the Fort Lee Directorate of Public Works (DPW). The objective of the Paving contract is to provide quick, responsive and cost efficient methods to accomplish the Government's road construction requirements to support the mission of the U.S Army at Fort Lee, Virginia. The estimated construction rough order of magnitude is between $5M and $10M. The ordering period shall be a base period of 12-months with four (4) 12-month ordering periods. Individual task order performance time will be negotiated. It is the Government's intention to conduct this requirement as a Construction acquisition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 14, quote mark quote mark quote mark Sealed Bidding quote mark quote mark quote mark and 36, quote mark quote mark quote mark Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts quote mark quote mark quote mark. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237310 for quote mark quote mark quote mark Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction quote mark quote mark quote mark with a size standard of $36.5M. It is the Government's intent to utilize an 8(a) Small business set-aside and restrict this requirement to 8(a) certified firms located within the geographical area serviced by the SBA Richmond Office, and other 8(a) construction firms with a bona fide place of business within the geographical competitive area- Virginia, and the assigned NAICS code. The anticipated posting date of the IFB is on or around mid-late March 2015 and will remain open for at least 30 calendar days. Upon release to the public, the IFB will be available at Federal Business Opportunities website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be provided. The IFB will specify the date and time for bid closing. Interested potential offerors are responsible for routinely checking this web site for any possible updates on the anticipated IFB. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management Maintenance database prior to award of a government contract, http://www.sam.gov. The anticipated award date is o/a 01 June 2015.
