Description

OCE 9655 In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, the United States Marshal Service (USMS) intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Cannon U.S.A., Inc. to purchase the annual maintenance agreement for the OCE 9655 Color Multifunciton Device because exact replacement parts must be utilized in order to assure continued reliable operation of the manufacturer's unit. To assure satisfactory operation of the equipment the replacement parts must be obtained from the original equipment manufacturer. This is considered a sole source to Cannon because, to the best of the USMS's knowledge, based on market research conducted Cannon is the only known source that can provide this type of service. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy USMS's requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. Telephone responses and requests will not be received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
