Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 10, located at 6150 Oak Tree Blvd, Independence OH 44131, in accordance with FAR 13.501, intends to solicit from a single source, Barnett & Ramel Optical, for eyeglass manufacturing and dispensing services within VISN 10. Barnett & Ramel is currently providing these services under contract and VISN 10 requires continued service for an additional two months. The NAICS Code is 339115 and the size standard is 500 employees. The statutory authority for restricting competition under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, or Single Sourcing, is 41 U.S.C. 253(c), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received no later than 4:00 pm on February 27, 2015.
