Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a contract modification to delivery order 0061 under Basic Ordering Agreement Contract N00019-12-G-0006 with the Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office on an 'other than full and open' competitive basis to address the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) impacts on the V-22 Standby Flight Display (SFD). Due to these DMSMS impacts to the current SFD utilized on the V-22 Osprey, the production line implementation of a new SFD is required for the V-22 Osprey. This modification will facilitate the delta Non-Recurring and recurring efforts required to incorporate the new SFD on V-22 aircraft. Bell-Boeing is the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer of the V-22 aircraft. As such, Bell-Boeing is the only responsible source with the necessary access to the technical data and requisite expertise to perform the contemplated effort with the required schedule. Bell-Boeing is the sole source managing database requirements for the V-22.
