Description

SPD Addition Building 31, Project No. 538-111 - The general scope of this project is to construct a single level new addition with a partial pipe basement, on the north side of building 31 at the Chillicothe, Ohio VA Medical Center. The addition is a steel frame structure with a brick masonry external veneer and an EPDM membrane covered flat roof. This work includes site preparation, relocation of buried utilities, reinforced concrete foundations, structural steel framing, exterior masonry, EPDM membrane roofing, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems as well as internal finishes. Contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including implementation of dust control and other construction safety measures, and furnish labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete all new construction which includes but not limited to architectural, structural, site, mechanical, electrical and plumbing as shown and specified per specifications and drawings. Work to be completed within 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Plans, specifications and drawings will be available on line on or about March 20, 2015. All specifications and drawings will be available on line through this website and no hard copies will be issued. Estimated cost range is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. A pre-bid conference will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. local time in Building 1, Room 121, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio. All potential contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers are urged to attend as this will be the only site visit for this project. Bid opening is Monday, April 20, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. local time in Building 212, Room 135, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio. This project is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Contractors bidding this project should ensure they are registered in VetBiz Registry at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/, under the appropriate NAICS code for this procurement.
