Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The contractor is to evaluate the existing Main Electrical Generation and Distribution System and design, implement, and make operational the Main Electrical Distribution System on the Mooring Barge #2. The vessel is currently deployed in the Delaware River adjacent to the Fort Mifflin Disposal Area. The MB-2 is currently in a fixed operating position, just north of the piers at Fort Mifflin, Philadelphia, PA. It will remain spudded (anchored) down at this location for the duration of this project. The Fort Mifflin Facility personnel will coordinate transportation to and from the MB2 to facilitate all aspects of the work. Transportation to the MB2 requires an approximate 5 minute launch ride from the pier.
