- Description
- Attachment 2 - Wages Attachment 1 - PWS Solicitation The Test Pilot School (TPS) has a requirement for: Flying Qualities Software Curriculum Development. The software requirements: 1) Run on Matlab 2014A 2) Generate output that can be input into a 6 DOF flight simulation via a data file. Output shall include aircraft trim condition, aircraft stability derivatives, control power derivatives, mass properties, and any other information required to fill out a state space A and B matrix representing both longitudinal and lateral directional aircraft dynamics. 3) Operated by the end user with a GUI that is simple, intuitive, and contains prompts, roll over balloons, and a searchable help file that includes hyperlinked text. 4) Generate aircraft stability derivatives and natural frequencies, damping ratios, and/or time constants for the 5 standard aircraft modes of motion 5) A graphical representation of the aircraft shall be drawn in an interactive fashion. 6) User shall be able to make large scale inputs such as "double or half the horizontal tail size" to any and all lifting surfaces and control surfaces 7) User shall be able to vary fuselage length, wing position, and airfoil sections 8) User shall be able to vary wing sweep and dihedral/anhedral angle. 9) User shall be able to enter/vary mass properties. 10) User shall have the option of saving input configurations for future use. 11) Initial aircraft configurations shall include: Cessna 172, Grob 103, F-16, T-38, C-12, C-5A or similar aircraft. 12) User shall be able to enter other arbitrary aircraft designs into software. 13)Vendor shall provide initial end user support to ensure operation meets teaching requirements for classroom implementation.
