- Statement of Work Project Name: DoD/VA PST Joint Incentive Fund (JIF) Training FY15 Overview of Project: Problem-Solving Training and Problem-Solving Therapy (PST) are evidenced- based, cognitive-behavioral clinical interventions based on research demonstrating a strong link between social problem solving (SPS) and symptoms of psychological and emotional distress. Providing evidence-based mental health interventions to Veterans is of the highest priority within the VA. The goal of this program is to enhance the availability of evidence-based interventions for the prevention and treatment of mental health concerns among Veterans by training VA clinicians in Problem Solving Training/Therapy (PST). The VA/DoD Integrated Mental Health, Mental Health Services (10P4M) Program requires four VA/DoD PST workshops to be conducted in order to train clinicians on delivering PST. These four approved workshops will be conducted during 2015. This contract provides the funding for the trainers/facilitators for these workshops and course development for the program. Goal:Our goal is to continue funding the PST trainings for FY15. Three workshops are planned for 2015. To this end, DoD/VACO has provided JIF funding to assist in the implementation of these trainings. The goal is to provide this trainings in order to advance the knowledge of the staff and facilitate the deliverance of their own courses to other personnel. Scope of Work: 1. To coordinate and facilitate DoD/VA PST trainings during FY2015. Contractor shall develop course materials, participate in administrative activities including conference calls with all affiliated program parties, and facilitate trainings. Deliverables: 1. Course development for three DoD VA PST workshops in 2015. 2. Participate in administrative activities required by program leaders 3. Facilitate DoD/VA PST workshops in 2015.
