- The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to identify capable, qualified small businesses to provide Window Cleaning Service for West Point, NY. Potential qualified sources shall meet size classification standards under NAICS code 561720. The following project is for washing and cleaning all windows inside and outside of building 758 Jefferson Hall. There is approx. 46,000 sq. ft. of windows. 1. Clean Interior Windows. Clean all glass surfaces. After surfaces have been cleaned, all traces of film, dirt, smudges, water and other foreign matter shall be removed from frames, casings, sills, and glass. Protect all flooring, furniture, blinds and any other interior items from cleaning chemicals used. 2. Clean Exterior Windows. Windows are the glass surfaces that are an integral part of the outer wall of the building. Window screens shall be removed, cleaned, and replaced as needed. After window has been cleaned, exterior frames, casings, sills, and glass shall be free of all traces of film, dirt, smudges, water and other foreign matter. All cleaning chemicals are to be environmentally/eco-friendly to protect personnel and landscaping. A window or other transparent surface shall be considered properly cleaned when it is free of film, dirt, stains, tarnish, streaks, lint cleaning marks, etc. and has a uniform clean appearance. Any permanent stains will be considered when determining the cleanliness of a window. The contractor shall not be responsible for any permanent stains that currently exist on windows. The contractor shall be responsible to notify the government regarding any permanent stains as the work is being accomplished. Before any work starts the contractor shall provide cleaning schedule for interior and exterior cleaning listing the floor, side of building, room number or area for review and approval by government. In the event that some scheduled work activity in various parts of the building interferes with normal scheduled window cleaning in an area, the cleaning schedule shall be rearranged to complete the window cleaning after such operation is over. Period of Performance: The work shall be completed in a continuous five (5) business day period. All work to be done during normal working hours M-F Note: The sq. ft. of windows is approx. 23,000 sq. ft. x 2. Interested offerors shall demonstrate, in a qualifications statement, that it can provide this service. This is a sources sought announcement and not a request for technical or cost proposals. An award will not be made on the basis of this notice, and there will be no reimbursement of costs incurred by potential offerors responsing to this notice.
