- Description
- The purpose of this contract is to perform insecticide treatments on ash and hemlock trees in order to ensure their ability to survive infestation by the emerald ash borer (EAB) and the hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA). The contract areas are located in developed recreation, administrative, and conservation areas on the Allegheny National Forest. The contractor will be required to treat ash trees with a combination of imidacloprid (Merit 75 WSP ® or equal) soil injections (basal method), imidacloprid (Merit 75 WSP ® or equal), dinotefuran (Safari 20 SG ® or equal),emamectin (Tree-ägeTM or equal), azadirachtin (TreeAzin® or equal) trunk injection or dinotefuran (Safari 20 SG ® or equal) bark spray or hemlock trees with a combination of imidacloprid tablets (Coretect® or equal), imidacloprid (Merit 75 WSP ® or equal) soil injections (basal method), imidacloprid low pressure tree injections (Imi-jet or equal), dinotefuran (Safari 20 SG ® or equal) bark spray, and horticultural oil sprays. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, supplies, insecticide, and related supplies to treat hemlock trees.
