Sole Source Justification The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Life Technologies Corporation, Grand Island, NY for the following items: AMF4300 EVOS FL, NO OBJ/NO CUBE AMEP4644 POWER CORD - US, EVOS AMEP4650 EVOS LED CUBE/DAPI AMEP4651 EVOS LED CUBE/GFP AMEP4655 EVOS LED CUBE/TX RED AMEP4680 PL FL 4X LWD PH,0.13NA/16.9WD AMEP4681 PL FL 10X LWD PH,0.25NA/9.2WD AMEP4682 PL FL 20X LWD PH, 0.40NA/3.1WD AMEP4698 PL FL 20X, 0.50NA/2.5WD R10477 MOLECULAR PRO CELL IMAGING KIT AMEPVH001 HOLDER, SLIDES, TWO 25MMX75MM Life Technologies Corporation is the sole manufacturer and Only provider of these propeitary items. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to Pamela J. Bolling at pbolling@cdc.gov by 9:00 a.m. EST on March 6, 2015.
