- Questions and Answers MODIFICATION 01 - QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FROM VENDORS/Q&A 01 PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENT Q&A 01 **************************************************************** Solicitation Number: WE-133F-15-RQ-0261 Agency: Department of Commerce Office: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Location: National Marine Fisheries Service, Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; request for quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center, Protected Species Division, located in Honolulu, HI, has a requirement for assistance in the collection of occurrence information, tissue sampling, and satellite tagging of cetaceans for assessment of abundance and population structure in the western Pacific. In the summer and fall of 2015, the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center will undertake two survey efforts based from Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands- a large-scale survey within the Northern Islands of the Marianas Archipelago and a small vessel based survey from Guam and Saipan. Interested parties must furnish detailed information concerning their capability to provide service. Information should provide sufficient detail that demonstrates the firm's knowledge and ability to perform requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541990. A firm fixed price contract will be issued in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13 utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All interested parties must respond to this announcement by the closing date listed on Standard Form 18 (RFQ) box 10. This procurement also requires contractors to complete the electronic representations and certifications at the SAM website. All vendors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM.
