Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Denver Acquisition and Logistics Center (DALC) will be hosting an "Industry Day" for manufacturers and distributors of lower-extremity artificial limb components April 14-16, 2015. The event will be held at the VA Denver Acquisition and Logistics Center, 555 Corporate Circle, Golden, CO 80401. The purpose for this meeting is to allow manufacturers and distributors the opportunity to present their commercially available technologies and vision for the future of the industry, as well as to discuss aspects of the upcoming solicitation. A draft of the solicitation is published on the FedBizOps web site; VA791-15-Q-0001. The audience will be Government individuals involved with the VA Orthotic and Prosthetic Service such as prosthetists, Program Officials and DALC staff. VA will present its vision of the intended solicitation and contract(s) as intended to be implemented for lower extremities. Manufacturers will be given the opportunity to present information, present new commercially available products and answer questions from the group within their allotted timeframe. The objective is an informative presentation to help us define current and future artificial limb requirements. Industry Day Discussion Topics may include: "Length of time in the prosthetic supply business "Corporate structure, place of incorporation, affiliated companies "Registration in the Governments System for Award Management (SAM). Please identify the company you are representing and a point of contact to which information can be directed. Your request will be confirmed if received and you will be given additional information at that time. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
