Description
This project is being solicited under AFFARS MP5332.7. Funds are not currently available for this project, and no award will be made until funds become available. The Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation, either before or after the proposal closing date with no obligation to the offeror. FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds will be incorporated into the solicitation. This synopsis is for the construction of the Renovate 823 RHS Wash Rack Bldg 91144 on Hurlburt Field, FL. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, and equipment to perform all operations necessary to accomplish all work as shown on the drawings and specifications. The general work includes, but not limited to(I-XVIII); (I). Demolition and removal of existing floor coverings, including vinyl wall base. (II). Demolition and removal of miscellaneous components and accessories to be replaced by new construction, or rendered unnecessary by the new work. (III). Pressure washing, cleaning and sealing of existing concrete floors in the waiting and mechanical rooms. (IV). Pressure washing, cleaning, chips, cracks and fastener hole minor repair and finish painting of existing, previously painted exterior and interior concrete masonry unit walls. (V). Pressure washing, cleaning, minor dent repair and finish painting of existing, previously painted metal fascia panel system and framing. (VI). Pressure washing/blasting and finish painting of existing, previously painted exterior and interior structural steel decking and bar joist roof and deck components. (VII). Pressure washing/blasting and finish painting of existing, previously painted steel railings, stairs, ladder elevated wash platform and other miscellaneous existing metal building accessories. (VIII). Pressure washing, cleaning and finish painting of existing galvanized hollow metal doors and previously painted/ hollow metal frames. Replacement of existing aluminum door threshold. (IX). Demolition, removal and infill of existing lateral drainage pits, including sump pump components. (X). Demolition and replacement of existing trench drain system, including all associated waste piping and saw-cutting of existing pavement to remain. (XI). Removal and replacement of existing oil-water separator including all associated waste piping. (XII). Removal and replacement of existing pressure washing equipment, complete with new exhaust flue system, pressure washing hoses and wands. (XIII). Removal and replacement of existing wall louver. (XIV). Removal and replacement of all existing light fixtures, including associated branch wiring (XV). Removal and replacement of existing panel boards. (XVI). Removal and replacement of existing fire alarm devices. (XVII). Demolition and replacement of existing damaged concrete pavement with new, heavy duty unreinforced concrete pavement. (XVIII). Removal and replacement of sodded areas damaged during new work excavation operations. This acquisition will be set aside for HUB-Zone offerors only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5M. This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 15, Negotiated Procedures. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Performance period is 198 calendar days. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. Estimated magnitude for the total project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 20 Mar 2015. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD System for Award Management will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
