- Announcing the Airborne Network Technology Review Days 2015 to be conducted at the Radisson Hotel Utica Centre in Utica, New York on Tues 9, Wed 10, and Thurs 11 June 2015 and hosted by the Erie Canal Chapter (NY) of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Rome, NY is participating along with senior representatives from DoD, Navy, Army and other Air Force organizations. The objective of the Review Days is to provide a forum for industry and academia to discuss with government representatives, the technologies required for formulation, development and deployment of airborne network(s). Participants will have the opportunity to engage government leaders, researchers and scientists on approaches to solving the obstacles of networking airborne assets, review technology demonstrations and discuss various experiments and practices. Some of the technologies and topic areas to be discussed at the Review Days are: • Airborne Networking: Challenges and Futures • Spectrum Issues in Airborne Networking • Airborne Networking Applications • UAVs and the Airborne Network • Airborne Network Architectures As additional details become available, they can be found at: http://www.afceaeriecanal.com This year the AFCEA Erie Canal Chapter is hosting two evening events in conjunction with the Review Days, an Expo and a Networking Mixer. The Expo is being held on Tuesday evening, 9 June, in the Radisson's Grande Ballroom. The purpose of Expo 2015 is to provide industry, academia and government an additional opportunity to present their perspectives on advancing airborne network technology and to facilitate discussions. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks are included in the registration fee. A cash bar will also be available. Due to space restrictions in the ballroom, Expo 2015 is limited to 19 tabletop exhibits and poster boards. Each method of presentation MUST relate to advancing Airborne Network Technology. Only two tabletops per company site will be allowed and selection will be on a first received basis. The Networking Mixer is being held on Wednesday evening, 10 June, in the Radisson's Grande Ballroom. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks are included in the registration fee. A cash bar will also be available. The AFCEA Erie Canal Chapter is offering organizations the opportunity to sponsor several catered (breakfast, lunch, snack break) events throughout the conference. Proof of status is required for registration. Clearances are not required and all discussions will be unclassified. Note: this is NOT a "bidder's conference" and this announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The government will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by an offeror for travel expenses, presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the government. Registration Fees: Early Bird (received by 25 May): $525.00 May 26 to June 6: $625.00 At the door: $725.00 Cancellation : Requests received by June 6, 2015 are entitled to a full refund less $50.00 processing fee. After June 6, 2015, no refunds can be made. Registration Fee: Registration fee includes: conference costs, handout materials, continental breakfasts, lunches, mid-morning and afternoon breaks, free parking for all 3 days and continental breakfast and mid-morning break on day 3. On Tuesday evening, there will be an Expo with heavy hors d'oeuvres and nonalcoholic drinks. On Wednesday evening, there will be a Networking Mixer also with heavy hors d'oeuvres and nonalcoholic drinks. Both of these evening venues will have a cash bar.
