Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Olympus America, INC 3500 Corporate Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034 to purchase Slim Flexible Video Ureteroscopes that are compatible with existing Olympus Tower for the NWI VA Health Care System, Omaha, NE. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339112. The Government believes that Olympus America, Inc. is the only provider that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with a sole source for requirement. The procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge, Olympus America, Inc. is the only source that provides the above indicated equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all submissions received by 2:00 PM Central Time on Friday, March 13th, 2015. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. No telephone inquiries shall be accepted.
