Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Rock Island District is seeking System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered businesses that can provide trucking services in the event of a flood emergency under North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) Code 484121 General Freight Trucking, Long-Distance, Truckload, with a corresponding size standard of $27.5 Million. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a request for proposal or quote or an invitation for bid. Particularly, the purpose of this NOTICE is to gain knowledge of potential System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered businesses that have the ability to provide trucking services (often with less than 48 hour notice and lead time in the event of a flood emergency) with either a 48 or 53 foot flatbed trailer to transport flood fight supplies such as sandbags in shipping containers, rolls of polyethylene on pallets, gabion baskets on pallets, pumps, etc. No cover would be required but tie straps would be. The flood fight supplies would be required to be picked up from the Rock Island District in Rock Island, Illinois or Pleasant Valley, Iowa within twenty four hours of receipt of phone call and delivered immediately to anywhere within the Continental United States. Interested businesses must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database at www.sam.gov. Email submissions are required. Please include the following information in your response: 1.Company name, address, and cage code. 2.A 24/7 point of contact to include a phone number and email address. 3.A Statement of Capability.
