- *This is a Request for Information (RFI) in accordance with FAR 15.201 (b). THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This is NOT a request for contractual offers. RFIs are used to gather information from industry without any promise of a current or future contract or requirement. Information provided cannot be used to create a binding contract. Respondents to the RFI will not be reimbursed for the information provided to HQ ACC.** General Carlisle, the Commander of Air Combat Command and Major General Zobrist, the Director of Plans, Programs, and Requirements, will host the ACC "Agile & Resilient Command and Control" Innovation Summit on 16-17 April 2015 at Quesada Hall, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. The Summit provides the opportunity for General Carlisle and key Air Force leaders to provide attendees insight into the challenges and ongoing Air Force and DOD research efforts especially in the areas of command and control, combat cloud, and big data. With these insights, General Carlisle hopes participants will search within their organizations for innovative ideas, emerging technologies, and creative approaches to address the challenges. The summit will consist of two half day sessions, 16 April PM and 17 April AM. Both sessions will be unclassified. NOTE: Pre-registration is required (info below). Final registration for the event will be conducted on 16 April from 0900-1130 at Quesada Hall on Joint Base Langley-Eustis. The draft agenda for 16-17 April Summit is below: DRAFT AGENDA: Registration - 16 Apr (0900-1130) - Quesada Hall Day 1, 16 Apr (1230-1700) - Unclassified presentations on the Operational Environment, C2 and Global ISR Core Function Team Challenges, Operationalizing the Cloud, Aerial Layer Networking and Multi-domain integration, Strategic C2 Challenges, and briefs on ongoing research efforts to address these challenge areas. 1700-1900 No Host Social at Langley Club ($15 fee for food; pay as you go bar) Day 2, 17 Apr (0830-1230) - Unclassified presentations on Weapon System Data and Integration Challenges, Air Force and Joint Efforts to Address Data Access/Sharing Challenges, Enabling Technologies, and Agile Acquisition Efforts. NOTE: Seating will be limited. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to Academic and Research Organizations and DUNS registered companies. The maximum number of attendees per company will be determined by company size. Companies will be able to adjust their specific attendees within the max number allowed. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED - Attendees must preregister for the Innovation Summit to ensure access to Joint Base Langley-Eustis and conference attendance. There is no registration fee for the summit, however, there is a $15 Fee for those that attend the no-host social. Participants must indicate if they plan to attend the no-host social and the fee will be collected the day of the event. After registering, you will receive an electronic welcome package with information about the event and the local area. Additional details regarding the Summit, including the final agenda and base access process, will be forwarded as they become available. Dress for the event is business casual for civilians or Uniform of the Day (military). For those that cannot attend, slides will be posted to FBO (Unclass) as soon as possible following the event.
