Description
SYNOPSIS - TS GENERAL RUDDER FY15 FALL REPAIRS SOLICITATION - will be available on or about March 25, 2015 on the FedBizOpps.gov website. Repair work shall be accomplished at Contractor's facility upon completion of the training cruise. It will commence on or about August 19, 2015 and be completed no later than November 30, 2015. The list of work items to be performed, include but are not limited to: 1. Providing Services for the post-cruise repair availability - Phase 1 Repairs. 2. Remove waste generated during performance of work. 3. Obtain all "Gas Free Certificates" from Marine Chemist, for all work in confined, enclosed or hazardous spaces. 4. Housekeeping requirements to maintain cleanliness of the vessel. 5. Remove, open, inspect, clean test and reinstall four (4) Jacket Water Coolers for the four (4) main diesel generator prime movers. 6. Perform vessel modifications to create a new smoke boundary at Frame 34, on the main deck and the Foc'sle Deck. 7. Modifications to the Machinery Access Trunk 8. Insulate Bulkhead 52 9. Modifications to install a double smoke boundary door (s) at Frame 14, in the main deck passageway. 10. To perform ABS/USCG required Deck Repairs. 11. Overhaul eight (8) circuit breakers out of the main & emergency switchboards. 12. Remove the existing fast rescue boat, boat cradle and davit and install new. 13. Expand and refurbish existing classroom. 14. Perform Forward Mast Equipment Removals and Renewals. 15. Procure a set of Two (2) ABS approved stainless steel flexible jacket water hose assemblies for each of main diesel generator engines. 16. Procure and install new "digital" propeller shaft RPM indicators and a ruder angle indicator on each bridge wing. 17. Remove two (2) motor generator (MG) sets, associated support structure, contactor cabinets and wiring back to source, from the motor room. 18. Furnish and install a new reverse osmosis (RO) water purification unit. 19. Sewage System Lift Station grinder Pumps Renewal
