Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for support services to the Remote Sensing Earth Science Teacher Program(RSESTeP), at Goddard Space Flight Center. Services shall provide assistance to the GSFC Direct Readout Laboratory through an Education Mission Coordinator in the operation and support of the RSESTeP program. This includes direct guidance to the teachers and school in the program's Earth Science curriculum and available NASA resources and its application. Description of Work: Goddards Remote Sensing Education Mission Science Coordinator will: Customize and Implement Summer RSESTeP Training Workshops as requested by GSFC Education Programs and NASA GSFC Earth Science Division. Develop protocols for new RSESTeP payload platforms. Facilitate R/C Plane Teacher Trainings and support AMA R/C Plane Earth Science Field missions. Facilitate Hexacopter Teacher Trainings and support AMA Hexacopter Earth science Field missions. Facilitate RSESTeP SeaBotix ROV Teacher Training/support ROV Field Environmental missions. Act as the RSESTeP point of contact for teachers to help them with the implementation of their planned Earth Science Remote Sensing Missions. (Training, Mission Planning, Mission Scheduling, Conference Calls, Shipping Equipment, locating Satellite Data, coordinate OEPM mission evaluation.) Provide continued support for GSFC ED Program Office PA3 District RSESTeP Remote Sensing Earth Science Missions. Provide support for GSFC Earth Science Theme PD and Science Field Missions. Coordinate NASA RSESTePs participation in Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center ROVER program design, trainings and STEM Field Missions program implementation. Assist with implementation of the Space Act Agreement with AMA Partners. Attend requested RSESTeP Field Missions. Collect RSESTeP Mission Data. Complete requested HQ reports Coordinate new RSESTeP website content management development and manage the site. Conduct RSESTeP Equipment Inventory. Write protocols for new Ground-truthing Equipment. Mentor Summer RSESTeP Interns. Provide monthly Reports to Patrick Coronado, the RSESTeP Program Manager. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.g ov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=.The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.
