DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is interested in receiving market and pricing information to identify sources for material test equipment, in support of DLA's counterfeit prevention initiative. Table 1, lists technical equipment currently being used with Make, Model, Purpose for use, and General Description, for information purposes only. Table 2, lists Name Brand or equivalent attachments sought for use with Sherr-Tumico, 3500 series, 14" Benchtop Horizontal Beam Comparators, currently used by DLA counterfeit test centers. The proposed items should represent current industry best practices to meet the requested item purpose and description. All shall be commercial items with proven record of reliable field performance. Responses for Table 1 may be technically equivalent items and DO NOT need to be the same manufacturer or model. Responses to Table 2 shall be Name Brand or equivalent items compatible with current DLA equipment of the stated manufacturer, item and model. This Request-For-Information (RFI) seeks to obtain market and price information to assess the business and solution base in the marketplace. This RFI does not in any way constitute a Request-For-Proposal (RFP) or Request-For-Quotation (RFQ) and as such, shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice, nor otherwise pay for proposal preparation costs supporting submission of a response to this RFI. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals. Responses to this notice will be treated as information only. Respondents are advised NOT to include any information in their responses, which may be considered business sensitive, proprietary, or otherwise confidential. However, respondent who elect to submit any business sensitive, proprietary, or otherwise confidential information, the submission shall be marked with appropriate proprietary and/or restrictive markings.
