Description

Award to Alere Informatics 1. Contracting Activity: Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 18, SAVAHCS Medical Center. Transaction number: 678-15-1-053-0151 2. Nature and/or Description of the Action Being Processed: The P&LMS POC department requires an annual License from Alere Informatics to continue the connectivity of the I-Stat instrument to manage diagnostic testing and QC results. The SAVAHCS requires this service to maintain RALS system Software package and site licensing requirements for a fixed price of $36,396.00 to include base year and four option years by September 2019. 3. Description of Supplies/Services Required to Meet the Agency's Needs: The Alere I-Stat License is required by the SAVAHCS. The Remote Automated Laboratory Systems (RALS) Software technology system License Agreement is part of the point of care testing connectivity software that is used to post patient test results to the electronic patient record (VISTA/CPRS). This software allows the end user to monitor tests done at the point of care and to meet numerous accreditation requirements for laboratory tests performed at SAVAHCS. The software license agreement ensures a continuity of services for the medical center and it's off site locations.
