- Description
- Marine Corps Installations East- Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune has a requirement for a contract for a lease and maintenance of automatic, heavy duty type washers and dryers located in Government facilities aboard Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Lejeune and its satellite activities. The resultant requirements contract will be for the period of 6 June 2015 (or date of award, whichever is later), through 5 June 2016 (or one year from date of award), plus four one-year priced-out option periods. Proposed acquisition is 100% 8(a) business set-aside under SBA Requirement Number 0460/15/201962/01from SBA Charlotte, NC with no geographical restrictions. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 532210 - Consumer Electronics and Appliances Rental, and the small business size standard is $38.5 million. The Government will solicit and award this contract using simplified acquisition procedures, in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5. The Government intends to award to the quoter who represents the best value to the government. Award will be issued on an all or none basis. Scope of Requirement: a) Lease, installation and maintenance to include comprehensive vent and duct cleaning of all dryers' duct work of approximately 2,600 automatic, heavy duty type top load washers, 2,250 single dryers, 1000 double stacked dryers, and 75 washer/dryer stackable combinations for approximately 250 barracks located aboard MCB Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, Camp Geiger, Camp Johnson, and Stone Bay, North Carolina. These numbers include the Government owned machines in b and d below. Initial installation for leased machines is an estimated 2010 automatic, heavy duty type top load washers, 2173 single dryers, 574 double stacked dryers, and 54 washer/dryer stackable combinations in about 212 barracks. b) Preventive maintenance and repair of Government owned washers and dryers; approximately 488 automatic, heavy duty type top load washers, 34 front load washers, and 529 double stacked dryer pairs, located in about 15 barracks located at MCB Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, Camp Geiger, Camp Johnson, and Stone Bay, North Carolina; c) Conversion of Government owned machines above to leased machines as they reach the end of their lifecycle in about 9 barracks; d) Installation of leased machines in new barracks or barracks currently under renovation with no machines in place - currently about 11 barracks for Fiscal Year (FY) 2015, 2016, and 2017. Plans for FY 2018, 2019, and 2020 are not available at this time; e) Removal of machines from barracks to be renovated. About five (5) barracks scheduled for FY 2015, 2016, and 2017. Plans for FY 2018, 2019, and 2020 are not available at this time. The solicitation will contain a complete Statement of Work (SOW). Government Request for Quote (RFQ), M67001-15-T-0200, to provide this service will be issued on or around 17 March 2015. The solicitation will be available for download via the electronic data interchange at FedBizOpps, www.fedbizopps.gov.
