Description
The Portland District Corps of Engineers is seeking local, statewide, and throughout continental US, small business concerns to provide Draft Tube Stoplogs. The Bonneville second powerhouse is located approximately 45-minutes east of Portland, OR on Washington State Hwy 14. Each unit at Powerhouse requires six draft tube stoplogs to dewater the unit for maintenance and repair. This contract is for the fabrication and delivery one set of stoplogs (six) to the Bonneville Project, Powerhouse 2, State of Washington. The contractor will deliver to the tailrace deck, unload, and test fit the each bulkhead to the tailrace gantry lifting beam for a functional test. REQUIREMENTS: The draft tube stoplogs are classified as hydraulic steel structures and are required to be fabricated per AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code. The fabricator shall be certified under the AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) Quality Management System, Major Steel Bridges (CBR) or Intermediate Bridges (IBR) category with Fracture Critical endorsement (F) and shall possess five 5 years documented experience on projects of similar scope at time of bid. The fabricator shall also be certified for the application of industrial coatings under the AISC Standard for Shop Application of Complex Protective Coating Systems (SPE) or SSPC (Society for Protective Coating) Shop Painting Certification Program (QP3). All small businesses are encouraged to respond. Upon review of industry response to this Sources Sought Synopsis, the Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. The appropriate NAICS Code is 332312; size standard is 500 Employees. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources prior to determining the acquisition strategy. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this announcement. lowest price will be awarded the call. The vendor shall place the order upon completion of the call. Vendor shall provide the following; It is requested that interested sources submit to the Contracting Office a brief capabilities statement package demonstrating ability to provide requested supplies as identified in this survey. This documentation shall address, as a minimum. The following: (1) Company profile: Provide number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE Code, and statement regarding small business designation and status. (2) Relevant Experience: A short paragraph providing relevant experience performing efforts of similar scope and duration within the last 24 months, including contract number, contract value, Government/Agency point of contact and current telephone number.
