- Description
- The United States (U.S) Army has a continuing need to conduct live-fire training by U.S. forces and/or its allies for the purpose of developing and improving their combat skills when they are called upon to conduct military exercises and/or participate in actual combat actions against opposing forces. This training is accomplished in various geographical locations throughout the world and in all extremes of environment. The ATS program serves as the Army's contract mechanism for procuring live-fire training ranges which are utilized by U.S. forces. The purposes of publicizing this market survey is to aid in the development of new and updated acquisition strategies, identify the number of interested small and other-than-small businesses, and gather information for planning purposes about the capabilities of each industry source as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). Preliminary research suggests that the magnitude and complexity of several future requirements might exceed the capabilities of small business; however, ACC-WRN is requesting responses from both small and other-than-small businesses that are currently providing similar supplies. The input will help ACC-WRN ascertain the interest, capability, and capacity of all potential offers. The projected ordering period for this solicitation will be five years. If solicited, ACC-WRN will issue a single Request for Proposal (RFP) to award an undetermined amount of Multiple-Awards, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (MA IDIQ) contracts. Organizations who deem themselves qualified and who would be interested in this planned acquisition are asked to complete the attached questionnaire and provide written responses electronically via email to the ACC-WRN's primary point of contact, Ms. Katarzyna (Katie) Szkubiel, at usarmy.detroit.acc.mbx.wrn-atsiii@mail.mil. ACC-WRN will not accept any telephone inquiries or comments regarding this survey - NO EXCEPTIONS. All questions, comments, and/or concerns must be included in your survey response. Additionally, Ms. Szkubiel will not schedule personal visits for the purpose of discussing this announcement. Emails or phone calls requesting personal visits will not receive a reply. The Government may release questions (and the respective answers) asked by Industry in response to this survey, at its discretion, on the ATS webpage: https://contracting.tacom.army.mil/majoracq/ATSIII/ATSIII.htm Interested Organizations are asked to complete the attached questionnaire and provide electronic responses back to ACC-WRN's POC, Ms. Katarzyna Szkubiel, no later than 1200 PM EST, 31 March 2015.
