Description
AGENCY: Veteran's Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs NOTICE TYPE: SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Full Service Contract for Voltage Equipment This sources sought notice is for market research purposes only. Please provide information and description of services available. A solicitation is not available at this time, but results from this market research will help identify solicitation provisions, should a solicitation occur in the future. The Manhattan VAMC, located at 423 East 23 Street, New York NY, requires full service support for Engineering Services. Service contract for the maintenance and service on automatic transfer switches, related generator control and distribution equipment: Provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform preventative maintenance and service o the voltage equipment: Services to include but shall not be limited to: a.Clean - All the Contaminants that are not compatible with electricity must be eliminated. These contaminants include dust, dirt, moisture, water, rust or anything else that could reduce the efficiency of the electrical system. b.Tightened - Inspect and repair loose electrical connections. c.Lubricate - Direct-Acting, circuit breakers, relay-actuated (inner circuit breakers and switches contain many pivoting or sliding mechanical parts. These parts require lubrication and exercising so that they do not become inoperable because of nonuse. d.Inspect - The ratings and settings of all electrical devices are checked to assure that they are in accordance with good design and load changes. e.Test & Calibrate - The system or protective devices are subjected to abnormal electrical conditions: the operation of the system or devices is compared to the manufacturer's specifications and plant design requirements. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (via E-mail) referencing the requirement & RFI # and must be received not later than March 17, 2015 at 5:00PM. Email: Brian.Richardson@va.gov. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, description of item(s) available, DUNS number, address, point of contact and social-economic status verification. To be eligible for consideration, offerors will have been engaged in maintaining/servicing the type of equipment system and be capable of presenting certification of such with verifiable references. No allowance will be made for a company not having qualified and certified personnel available to respond with prompt and satisfactory service. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
