- Urgent and Compelling This is not a solicitation for quotes. This is a notification of award in accordance with FAR 6.302-2 Unusual and Compelling Urgency. Hy-Safe Tech is familiar with the current systems and originally placed the existing fall arrest systems in the aircraft hangars when they were built. Hy-Safe has an intimate knowledge of the hangars, their configuration and what can be quickly utilized and installed to provide the appropriate level of safety in accordance with both OSHA and Air Force standards. less than br greater than less than br greater than Maintenance workers are unable to reach the fall protection on the tail section from walking the fuselage. A new requirement for a self-retracting lifeline and harness needs to be installed. The self-retracting lifeline will be attached to 2 sections of I-beam approxiametly 2-3 feet long which will be attached the existing building structure. In addition, electrical connection needs to be run to the location of the self-retracting lifeline.
